Laurin Friedland
Laurin Friedland was born in New York and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She studied classical music with a focus in percussion performance, completing a bachelor’s and master’s in the field at University of Maryland and a post-graduate degree at Boston University. While visiting Miami on spring break during March of 2020, Laurin decided to never return to Boston! She has lived on Miami Beach since and found joy in uplifting the surrounding community. Before joining The Tribe, Laurin worked with Best Buddies International in the Miami-Dade County Public School System promoting and managing one-to-one friendships between students with intellectual and developmental disabilities and students without. While she will miss the kiddos there, Laurin is thrilled to embrace her Jewish heritage and help connect the local community through events, volunteering, and prayer.
Laurin loves traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time at the beach, and staying active. She’s also been known to love a reality show or two. If you see her on the sand, don’t be afraid to mention Love is Blind or just say hi!
