“To be honest, I never enjoyed going to temple at all, but last Sunday, attending Rosh Hashanah with The Tribe was absolutely the best ‘religious experience’ I have ever had!”

– High Holiday Experience attendee, 2016

Going on 7 years strong, The Tribe is here exclusively for YOU to reflect on the past, present and future! Join young professionals (22-45) and celebrate the new year together as one by combining your favorite tradition’s past with a special interactive twist. Celebrate with fellow Jews as you mingle while taking in the art, sipping on wine*, eating hors d’oeuvres*, and dipping apples in honey* to prepare for the sweetest 5778 imaginable!   *Rosh Hashanah only

Preapre to give your soul a one-on-one with Rabbi Amy Morrison of Temple Beth Sholom as she leads a High Holiday service that you’ll never forget with our very own Tribe High Holiday prayerbook! Our High Holiday Experience will even treat your ears to a night filled with your favorite music, a mix of your favorite modern jams with a unique traditional twist! Music will be led by local Jewish musician Mallie Duboff.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s High Holiday Welcoming Program, The Tribe’s High Holiday Experience is complimentary for all to attend.

The New York Times called The Tribe’s High Holiday Experience “ innovation that few if any have embraced” and CBS News called it “.. a unique service.”

The Experience is unlike anything you have tried before.  It’s 90 minutes of Jewish prayer and commentary infused with snidbits and references from the contemporary world.  People enter alone and exit with a profound sense of community and belonging.

Here is what attendees have said:

  • I thoroughly enjoyed your unusual, nontraditional, yet wonderful and thought provoking service. I love the prayer book; it’s beautiful with so many great quotes from such a wide variety of people and cultures.
  • Your Tribe services every year have a profound effect on my life.  It is quite obvious that [Rabbi Morrison is] full of passion and energy with a larger than life personality.  [She is] seriously awesome.
  • I love that the holidays were affordable [i.e. free], spiritual, beautiful, and musical.
  • I can’t believe how connected I felt tonight—to the others in the room, the Rabbi and myself.
  • Tonight I experienced God. Yesterday I didn’t believe in God.
  • I love how you try to include everyone and make us feel welcome.
  • I felt so much more involved… more connected.
  • The service was emotionally engaging and thought provoking.
  • I actually connected/understood the holiday, which is empowering.
  • …for anybody more concerned with keeping Jews “Jewish”, I think this organization is 100% on point. They run a well-oiled machine; for a free event it was fascinating how well it ran and how professional it felt.
  • I brought 5 friends and they all thanked me at the end.

The Tribe’s High Holiday Experience is made possible thanks to generous support from The Greater Miami Jewish Federation, Temple Beth Sholom, Southern Wine & Spirits, the Braman Family Foundation, and scores of individual donors.
